It’s easy to underestimate the need for a healthy pelvic floor, until you have a problem. Whether you have back or pelvic pain, poor bladder control, insufficient control of breathing, or digestive issues, the pelvic floor holds the key to your well-being.
While it may be necessary to return to these lessons time and again to establish and maintain good pelvic health, this is to be expected. No one gains and keeps the benefits of any routine, be it yoga, pilates, chi gong, or meditation, without repetition and a consistent practice. It might be that over time the awareness you build will go toward greater ease and less effort to maintain your comfort.
